| Pro-life | Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | ||
| The baby inside a pregnant woman is a separate and unique life. Aborting that baby is murder. | |||
| No | In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket? | ||
| No | Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare? | ||
| Because of the pandemic, I do support a short term infusion of resources for those Americans in need. This increased support should be targeted to those Americans who most need assistance. My general philosophy is that I support pro growth policies to the economy which lower the need for entitlement programs such as welfare cash payments, subsidized housing, and food stamps. If the economy has more jobs,more people have economic opportunities, there is less need for a ?safety net?. Recap: Help now, with a ?hand up?, not a ?handout?. Mandatory: Crack down on waste and abuse! | |||
| No | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? | ||
| Let me make this clear. I have not received a dime of support from corporations or unions. But, the Supreme Court has ruled that said support is covered under the First Amendment of the Constitution. I?m not a legal scholar, so, on this particular issue I will go with the wisdom of the Supreme Court. (Clarification: Though, there are many other issues in which I vehemently disagree with verdicts of our Supreme Court) | |||
| Yes | Do you support increasing defense spending? | ||
| #1 Issue! I spent nearly 30 years in the uniform of the United States Army Senior Noncommissioned Officer. As an expert in operations and logistics I have seen firsthand the ebbs and flows of our defense spending. Generally, during Democrat majority the budget was cut, and when Republicans were in charge, those cuts were restored. This is not a way to build and maintain a professional military. Consistent resources, especially those directly related to servicemember training, are very important. That being said, there is plenty to be done to cut down on fraud, waste and abuse. | |||
| No | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| Yes | Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| Yes | Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19? | ||
| I believe this type of financial relief should be targeted and tightly scrutinized. Those businesses that have a sufficient ability to financially ?weather the storm? should be at a lower priority compared to small businesses on the brink of failure, because of no fault of their own. Our number one priority should be saving jobs. President Trump showed in the past that he has the ability to enact policies that revived our economy. He can do it again! | |||
| No | Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards? | ||
| This is a question that is very near and dear to my heart. Let me be clear..... The federal government has a horrible record when it comes to managing large scale government takeover of what are normally ?states rights? issues. I believe states have the responsibility to educate at all levels. The closer to the student that the administrative decisions are decided, the better. The US Department of Education should be eliminated, And advantage it should be allocated to the individual states. Recap: Butt out, federal government! | |||
| Yes | Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)? | ||
| No | Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions? | ||
| I believe that when possible we should wean ourselves off of carbon-based energy sources. That?s why I am a big proponent of nuclear power. America is wasting a great opportunity because of a stigma perpetuated for decades. Nuclear power plants built in the 60s are technologically dinosaurs. They should be replaced by new technology nuclear power principles. Nuclear power is clean and safe! Let?s use it! | |||
| No | Do you generally support gun-control legislation? | ||
| ?A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.? ?SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED?! Next question.... | |||
| Yes | Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")? | ||
| Yes | Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border? | ||
| Yes | Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? | ||
| There is a line of immigrants who are legally trying to enter the United States of America. Those in America illegally must join that line before they can even be considered for US citizenship. Perhaps, if an alternate solution can be negotiated, those here illegally MIGHT be allowed to stay, but not offered the privilege of becoming a United States citizen. The Democrat Party has been following a immigration policy of importing low wage workers, legal and illegal, which then, they expect to gain citizenship and increase their voter base. This is a horrible policy! Genius, but horrible! | |||
| Yes | Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)? | ||
| Yes | Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts? | ||
| I spent nearly 30 years in uniform. I know firsthand the personal costs that soldiers, and especially their families suffer during wartime service. Presidents must be incredibly careful before they instigate large scale ?boots on the ground? intervention. I have no problem with the use of drones, airstrikes, and the like, when appropriate. | |||
| Yes | Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)? | ||
| Generally, I support free trade. But, when countries like China ?don?t play by the rules?, We must call them out on it, and sanction them for it. We have for way too long we have given China a free ride. No more! Oh, by the way, while we?re talking about China, the United States must recognize and call out China about their culpability in the spread of the COVID-19 virus. There must be a reckoning. | |||
| My number one priority is the safety and security of my neighbors. America is under attack right now from Marxist lead organization such as antifa and Black Lives Matter. One must remember that the slogan Black Lives Matter is a separate and distinct idea. Of course, black lives matter, all lives matter! But, Black Lives Matter, the organization, is a different story altogether. A quick look at their website will illuminate the fact that these are Marxist acolytes intent on the destruction of America, and her Constitution. Safety and security, my number one priority |
